The Rose of Love,Soulful Intentions
Interview with Janet Kelly by Christopher Blackwell

One of my readers informed me of a new program in the Las Vegas Nevada aimed at the many military veterans and the person behind it, Janet Kelly. As a Vietnam Vet I could not help but be interested so I contacted Janet Kelly and she was gracious enough to grant me this interview.

Christopher: For a bit of back ground could you tell us a bit about your yourself?

Janet: First and foremost, thank you, Christopher and all who have served America. I could not tell my story without the constant protection that all of you of the Armed Forces have done for us.

I presently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have lived here since 1989. I was born in Southern California. As a child growing up, I was a part of the Flying Franco acrobat group. I enjoyed those years very much, but they came to an end with several injuries by the age of 18.

I am now a proud mother of four sons, and soon to be a grandmother of my fifth grandchild. My life as a mother has given me some of my greatest moments, and at the same time, I have been through tremendous struggle due to the medical challenges they have faced. My second son, Sean, suffered a head injury at the age of 2, and my other son Brian was born with an awful skin disorder and a critical asthma condition.

At the age of 29, my heart starting giving me problems and in my thirties, I experienced nearly seven years of my own physical challenges and depression (I feel it was a form of PTSD due to the feeling of devastating mental anguish), as I didn’t know what was going to happen next to my boys and my own physical condition as well.

With seemingly nowhere to turn, I looked to the alternative therapy industry to see if I could get some answers for my son, Brian. After I carried him into a health food store in California on a pillow due to his inflamed skin and oozing sores, a lady introduced me to mysterious oil called Squalane. After the first few applications, he began to finally experience some relief from this horrible condition.

I began to read all the books I could read including the Yeast Connection. I was amazed at the knowledge and insights I soon became aware of.

In 1989, after the troublesome divorce from the children’s father, I moved to Las Vegas to receive assistance with my sons from my parents. They were very concerned about my health and the health of my sons, so it became apparent that I needed time out and they were there to help me get my life back.

I soon began my interviews and radio shows in Las Vegas. It was such a captivating human interest story that I continued to share our story of faith and miracles throughout the western United States. After several years of radio, I was asked to join a television show as a co-host that offered the most advanced healing modalities from week to week.

Today after nearly 30 years of challenges and triumph, I have never forgotten what God has done for me and my sons, so I now dedicate my life to serving others and assisting them in finding answers to some of life’s greatest problems.

Christopher: Why are you involved with Vets and what is it about Clark County that suggested the need for your work?

Janet: I was interviewed in Victorville, Calif., and when I got off the air, I was approached by a woman who is involved with a grassroots organization to support our veterans. She asked if I would be willing to help them raise the money and the awareness for the New Veterans Wall they want to build as a replica of the Veterans Wall in Washington D.C..

She also asked me why the military and the veterans don’t use these amazing breakthroughs and proven alternative therapies that I have talked about over the years. I really couldn’t answer her. But, I really wanted to make a difference, and see what I could do to assist this massive problem.

That night when I went back to my motel room, after falling asleep, I was woken up with a powerful inspiration to have my son, Brian, write a song for this cause. When I asked him to write and produce this piece, I had no idea what was about to happen in my life, and how this would impact those around us. I was given the insight that this song would become the nexus for healing our military and our country.

It is an honor to have been given this vision. I truly know that the years I have walked these times of trouble, which then turned to triumph, allowed me the training ground for what God now wants me to do for the rest of my life.

I have lived here in Las Vegas for the last 30 years, and ironically it is the number one city in the country for homeless veterans. So we are glad to be here to assist these ailing veterans and support their transformation with our campaign and our empowering programs that we will launch in the very near future.

Christopher: What is the Rose of Love Tribute?

Janet: Wherever I go, this song is impacting civilians to military commanders alike. We have now launched a national campaign for our service men and women and veterans called ”The Rose of Love Tribute.” The song that was given to my son to write is “You will always be remembered.”

This tribute has been launched to bring the love and patriotism back to our great land. The goal of this Rose of Love Tribute is to let our beloved men and women of our armed forces and the veterans, who have so lovingly served this nation, know that we will always remember their sacrifice, while we keep the love for all of us, in the center of all of the chaos and change that is occurring throughout the nation and the world.

In doing so, we have also launched the Rose of Love membership drive. This is where Americans can help Americans by becoming part of this membership of love for all of us.

The first 5,000 members will be inscribed on a scroll and then sent to President Obama as a positive message of change that we, as a people, are doing to better our nation and our lives. More is explained on our website about this membership.

Christopher: What is Soulful Intentions?

Janet: Soulful Intentions…our motto or mantra is “When love and intent align with the mind, body and spirit, we create the art of soulful living.

Soulful Intentions is launching as our base company that is organizing the complete project to create the seminars and healing platform for our curriculum that we are in the process of establishing.

We are forming a 36 week curriculum for our veterans, and military personnel that seek to change their lives and heal what they have come to know as a daily nightmare. Many who suffer from PTSD, Agent Orange, and many other devastating problems will be given hope through some of the world’s greatest experts in these areas.

Soulful Intentions is aligning and working these great masters and healers to bring the much needed solutions and answers for these servicemen and women and our veterans.

Our goal is to build wellness centers, training facilities and large retreats for our veterans to heal and have a place of refuge to transition back into society with loving programs and treatments needed to see them through. We will also offer entrepreneurship programs and guide them both personally and professionally for their growth and healing needs.

Our goal is that every one of our military service men and women and veterans, who desire to get help and assistance, will receive the much needed love and support that they deserve for serving our country as they so graciously have done.

Christopher. Who are part of this program?

Janet: I have many people who have stepped to the plate to assist us in launching such a massive and worthwhile cause. But, I want to say a special thank you to those who have come and been for me to layout this vision I have been given with the faith to know that we can and will bring this mission into fruition. We have nearly 17 people who are experts in their fields and I have people everyday that call me and ask what they can do to be sure this project is successful.

What services are being provided at this point? Any others being planned?

Janet: The services that will be available once we launch our corporate office here in Las Vegas in May will be the beginning of our curriculum. We are adding programs everyday, so please visit our website for updates and we would love to have people from all over the country present at our official launch of our offices and first wellness center on May 29-31 with our first official “Rose of Love Tribute’ Bikers run on May 31st.

We are proud to introduce our music video with some of America’s greatest entertainers in July, with our band “Divine Dichotomy” performing their first of many concerts throughout America to launch in the summer. Our hope is to seem them off to Iraq and Afghanistan the first part of 2010.

Anyone who is interested in our projects or would like to become a member or a sponsor, please go to our website and contact us through their at http://www.roseoflovetribute.com

Christopher: How can veterans, or those interested, find out more about this?

Janet: Anyone who is interested in our projects or would like to become a member or a sponsor, please go to our website and contact us through their at http://www.roseoflovetribute.com

Christopher: Don't you also have a weekly radio program? Is this program available on the internet as well?

Janet: My weekly radio show called “Soulful Living” airs here in Las Vegas on Monday mornings at 9 am -10 am PST. It is also heard on the internet at http://www.klav1230amradio.com

On the show we discuss all forms of healing modalities, science breakthroughs. I interview some of the greatest minds of our time.

We also dedicate a portion of the show to our wonderful military. Their needs, their triumphs, and we can all hear what we can now do for them. It is a real privilege to be a part of this heart-warming project.

I am amazed everyday and the lack of support these veterans are receiving, but with love and attention, I really feel that we can all do our small part to bring the long awaited answers and healing the strongest backbone we have here in America, our military.

Christopher: Anything else you would like our readers to know?

Janet I would like to say in closing, that I have dedicated this whole project to my wonderful family for believing in me when there was nothing left but hope to believe in. They stood by me.

I am humbled that God would put me in the middle of such a grand project, but for the people that know me, realize that, this is what I do, and the calling on my life is pretty obvious. I live to support others to find their joy. I truly believe that if find our Soulful Intent in our lives, then we can all live a life of joy and peace.

Together, we can make a difference, and as my favorite quote by Emmett Fox says, “If we could only learn to love enough, we would be the most powerful people in the world.”

Again, Christopher, thank you for this time, and most of all the service you have given as a veteran. I hope to do this again over the next few months and give your readers an update on this mission God has bestowed upon us all.

For any of you who really want to seek your own soulful intention, I recommend that you read the astounding book by Eckard Tolle, “A New Earth,” it will change your life forever.
