2) BOSCOV’S DEPARTMENT STORE FINED IN DISCRIMINATION CASE

On May 19, The News Journal reported in Dover that the Delaware State Human Relations Commission rejected Boscov’s defense and fined the department store $5,000 and ordered it to pay $21,000 to two Christians, two Wiccans and one Pagan. MORE
 
3) ROBERTA STEWART AND THE VA

It's been six months since Roberta Stewart started the application to the Veterans Administration get the pentacle approved for her Husband Patrick's memorial plaque. She began the process after he died in Afghanistan on Sept. 25 while serving in the National Guard. MORE
 
4) THE COST OF WAR

This is a hard article to write, specifically because right now I'm dealing with my own pain and hardship back home and may wind up on emergency leave soon enough. I guess writing is a good release and this is a good vent for me. Pain makes you question why we are really here and is the reason we're here really worth all the pain it brings. I've seen war tear apart families time and time again and it got so bad the Army had to focus a whole program on why and then they made a band-aid to fix the problem. MORE

The purpose of a military is to protect a country's borders and way of life from militant terrorists that despise them. THIS AND THAT

Normally I cover just one subject to cover in my editorial, but this time I'll make an exception. For anyone that doesn't keep up with the e-mails for our members, we have Darla Wynne, one of our directors. You may remember she fought a long, five-year battle against religious discrimination just for being a Wicca in the small town of Great Falls, South Carolina. Her suit against the town council went all the way to the Supreme Court. She won when the Court refused to hear it. MORE
