1) RALLYING IN WASHINGTON DC
By Rev. Jerrie Hildebrand,
Assistant Director, Lady Liberty League
I have just spent three days with Mrs. Roberta Stewart and the Lady Liberty League team in Washington, DC along with people within the Pagan/Wiccan community standing for their religious freedom. As a Unitarian Universalist Pagan I can not think of any other place I should have been on Juy 4th putting my faith in action.. MORE

2) VA DELAYS DECISION AGAIN
By Christopher Blackwell
Hopes for getting a pentacle for Sergeant Patrick Stewart’s official VA memorial plaque were dashed again by the VA, after already long passing their original promised Feb. 28 date to make a decision. It has been ten months since Army National Guard man’s helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. He was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. MORE

3) FREEDOM OF RELIGION OR IS THERE?
By Eric
There is freedom of religion, if you’re a Christian, a Mormon, or a Catholic. If you’re Pagan, and especially a Pagan soldier, don’t hold your breath. You’re actually fighting so the mainstream religions can practice their faiths. What, you don’t believe me? Ask the Pagan soldier that died last week, or ask the Navy soldier in Kuwait right now whose being harassed constantly and actually was physically beaten by her fellow soldiers in basic training.. MORE

She is seen throughout history in the forms of a raven or crow and a red heifer. Her motherland is the Celtic nations, primarily Ireland. She is a Triple-Goddess aspect and Her name is Morrighan. Her other names are Badb which means crow or raven and refers to a group of goddesses, Macha which means pasture, field or plain, and Nemain which means a frenzy as in the battle fury of a warrior goddess. MORE

6) TWO STORIES
By Alan Leddon
Printed with permission of author
Some years ago, back in the Navy, I was eating in the chow hall of Naval Hospital Portsmouth and I dropped my fork. When I bent over to pick it up, my necklace slipped out of my shirt. Navy Regulations state that you may wear a necklace if it is not visible while in uniform. So, I tucked it back in my shirt, making it no longer visible. Unfortunately, in any random group of ten, there is one to whom epithets may be applied. This one was a Security Police Petty Officer. Unfortunately, his crow had two troughs to crap in, and mine only had one...so he outranked me.. MORE
